It’s the big question for macadamia latte lovers!
The creamy mouthfeel of macadamia milk is a great alternative to cow’s milk for people who don’t tolerate it well or prefer to follow a plant-based diet. Although making macadamia milk at home is a very simple process some prefer the convenience of a commercially made milk – or ‘mylk’.
Although some brands are sold in larger supermarkets, macadamia milk doesn’t seem to have as much shelf-space as other plant based milks, so we have prepared this guide to help you find the leading brands of macadamia milk next time you are looking for a creamy cup!
Milkadamia
Made by Jindilli farms who are passionate about regenerative agricultural practices, this Aussie brand is one that has made it big in the USA. They produce three types of macadamia milk, including original, unsweetened and unsweetened vanilla flavours. They also make a variety of flavoured coffee ‘creamers’ which have a higher fat content than regular milk (and are very popular with coffee drinkers in the States).
- Buy Milkadamia macadamia milk from health food, wholefood and organic retailers across NSW and QLD. It is also available at a smaller number of stores in VIC and SA.
- You can also purchase it online here.
MILKLAB
If you’ve ordered a macadamia latte recently, the chances are it was made with MILKLAB macadamia milk. As the name suggests, this macadamia milk was specially formulated for baristas, who say that this milk “complements the intensity of espresso but also textures and stretches with any coffee type.” Perfect if you are serious about finding a plant-based coffee!
- MILKLAB is available in coffee shops around the country.
Suncoast Gold
