Adrian Walsh

Farming is in Adrian Walsh’s blood. He’s worked on the land all his life, starting out on a cotton farm in Emerald, Queensland, before moving into ginger, watermelon and potato farming in Bundaberg.  Two years ago, Adrian started in macadamias, and now lives on a picturesque macadamia orchard near Bundaberg (the largest macadamia growing region in Australia) with his wife and three young children. He’s busy managing four large orchards for FNC Plantations and absolutely loves the industry.

The kids enjoy farm life too says Adrian. “They always want to be in the tractor with me. They’re very active.” And it goes without saying that Adrian is a big fan of eating macadamias (any flavour!). “I like roasted, or salted and roasted. Plain is fine, and honey’s nice too.” “I probably don’t eat as many as I did when I first started though. But, they’re an easy gift for relatives and friends.”
